How to Purchase



The software you download is actually a '60-day Trial' version and is upgraded to a licensed version of your choice, by purchasing a software licence and then entering an 'Activation' Key. This then allows you to use all the functionality of the software for 12 months.

Please Note: The global term 'Taxpayer' covers to all types of Taxpayer, including Businesses and Individuals.


Step by Step Guide

  1. Download & install the Software
    Note: If you are already using the software under the 60-day trial, then you can ignore steps 1 & 2.
    Click on the following link to download and install the 'Digital Records' software.
    Then return to this page and continue at the next step.

    [Click here] If you wish to install on a Network Drive / Server.

    Tip: To return to this page, click on the 'Left Arrow' icon on the top left of the browser.

  2. Software Initial Setup
    • Open the Software
    • The '60-day Trial Welcome' window will be displayed, then click on the 'Continue' button.
    • The 'User Guide', in PDF format, is available to view via the button on the Dashboard within the software. In addition you can download it from this website.
    Note: If the software is not working as expected, re-visit the installation instructions.

  3. Purchase your Software Licence & Activate the Software
    1. Email your Order to 'support@NeilsonJamesTech.co.uk'

      Please include the following:

      • Licence Details
        1. Licence Type: (Select your chosen Licence Type (See 'Software Prices' page if required)
        2. VAT Registration No: (Enter your VAT Registration Number or enter 'Not VAT Registered')
        3. Business/Trading Name:
        4. Business Address:
        5. Contact Name:
        6. Contact Telephone No(s):
        7. Contact Email (if different to the email you used to place this order):
        For VAT Registered Customers: Your VAT Registration Number will be used as your Licence Number.
        For Customers not VAT Registered: Please specify 'Not VAT Registered' and a Licence Number will be allocated to you.

      • Optional Invoice Details (Only where different to Licence details, otherwise ignore)
        1. Business/Trading Name:

    2. You will then receive an 'Order Confirmation' email containing:
      1. Your Licence Number
      2. Your Activation Key
      3. Invoice, which includes the NJT Bank details to facilitate electronic payment
      Note 1: If you are unable to make an electronic Bank payment then please telephone NJT to discuss an alternative method.
      Note 2: To avoid this email being deposited in your 'Junk/Spam' folder, please add 'support@NeilsonJamesTech.co.uk' to your 'Safe Senders' list.

    3. Open the 'Digital Records' software.

    4. Then click the 'Purchase Licence' button on the Dashboard.
      • Enter your Business Name and Licence Number.
      • Select the Licence Type (for example,'Business' or 'IT10').
      • Enter the Activation Key and click 'Activate'.
